Genesis Family Midwifery

Home birth – Clients give birth at home with a Certified Nurse Midwife in attendance.

Water birth at home – Clients are encouraged to use water for labor and/ or birth as they feel comfortable.
Prenatal care – Clients are seen throughout their pregnancy at our beautiful office in Warrenville.
Group prenatal care - (coming soon!) Clients will be able to join other women in the same place in their pregnancy for prenatal care, childbirth education and discussion.
Postpartum care – Clients receive visits in their home for 2-3 days after their birth and then in the office 6 weeks after their birth.
Newborn care – Babies are examined thoroughly after the birth and at each home visit.
Breastfeeding help – Clients are assured the best start to the breastfeeding relationship and are offered help indefinitely after the birth.
Preconception counsel – Clients are given counsel regarding natural methods of getting pregnant.
Family planning (non-hormonal) – Clients are given counsel regarding non-hormonal family planning methods including natural family planning and barrier methods.
Well-woman care - Clients can be seen for annual exams including pap smears, and other routine screening exams. Visit will include counsel in health promoting activities.
Free consultations - There are group consultations offered most Wednesdays at 11:30 am and Friday evenings at 8:00 pm. This will give you an opportunity to get to know us, and to find out answers to more specific questions.
